The Heart of Motherhood was written for a very special group of young ladies. We have gathered together once a month to pray and soak in His presence. The Holy Spirit’s prompting to teach on this subject emerged out of this atmosphere. We as women carry a very special part of God’s heart for the family and thus the church. This current culture has muddied our identity and has devalued what God’s original intent is for women. Join us as we discover the heart of a mother starting in the book of Genesis. My goal is to impart through the Holy Spirit the revelation of God’s heart that is so important to raising children who are emotionally healthy and ready to conquer this crazy world. We need God’s perspective sown deep into our hearts to not waver as we face an emotional roller coaster in the many years ahead as a parent/leader.
I believe that God desires to replenish virtue in His children because of His unique presence that is going to be released to overcome increased darkness.

Overview of The Heart of Motherhood
Original Intent – We will start at the beginning of creation connecting to God’s original intent. When we see God’s heart as the first parent of humanity, Adam and Eve, we can see how freedom, purity, boundaries, and discipline work in directing them to a relationship with Him and each other. We will contemplate how we carry God’s heart of protecting and drawing out God’s original intent and potential in our kids.
Discipline to Redemption – We see how God disciplined, covered, and walked out justice when mankind fell from grace. We will contemplate how that relates to us as parents/leaders. Subjects addressed; what is the right heart behind disciplining, what does unity with God and others look like, and how do we maintain an emotionally healthy environment through discipline and love?
The Curse – We will discover why women struggle with deep sorrow in this life and hopefully get a deeper understanding of the redemptive qualities of the Holy Spirit and ultimately the hope of heaven. A man and woman have certain vulnerabilities related to the curse that give us an understanding of how to stand in the gap on behalf of our family and others.
The Power of the Spoken Word – Life and death are in the tongue. What we say to our children can change the course of their future. Creating a culture of speaking life into each other is key to creating a safe haven for our families. We will ask the question challenging you to parent purposely “What culture are you intentionally or unintentionally creating in your homes?”
Restoration to the Beginning – As mothers, we are called to be discerning of the signs of the times, not only in our immediate circumstances but also in the broader context of God’s larger plan for humanity. Just as Jesus prepared his disciples for the future by foretelling events to come, we too must equip ourselves and our children with the knowledge and understanding of God’s unfolding plan. Learning to recognize the signs of the times instills hope in our hearts for the future. Rather than being dismayed or surprised by the challenges we may face, we can take comfort in knowing that God is sovereign and that His purposes will ultimately prevail. Our faith in His faithfulness enables us to stand victoriously, trusting in His provision and protection.
Our primary mission as a mother is to partner with and abide in Christ through the Holy Spirit. This is our current redemption on earth. Ultimately the heart of motherhood desires fulfillment within this relationship first, strengthening us to lead freely without fear and control. We will discuss what that looks like in specific and practical ways.
Each section offers practical insights, reflections, and discussions aimed at equipping mothers to embrace their role with confidence and faith, grounded in God’s truth and love. Through this journey, participants will gain a deeper understanding of God’s heart for motherhood and the transformative power of faith in parenting.
