Happy 90th Birthday to a wonderful friend, mentor Happy 90th Birthday to a wonderful friend, mentor and second mom. I met Elaine when I was 15 years old at Sunrise Baptist Church. I volunteered in the 1st grade Sunday school class she was teaching. Elaine saw something in me I didn’t see in myself. She believed in me and we stayed in contact through 30 years of military life and beyond. Thank you, just doesn’t seem to say enough for what she has given to me at such an impressionable age.
